Press Conference on Physicians Training

Purpose of the training is to improve the professional level of primary care medical personnel who are the first to contact with the patient, thus to reduce mortality, morbidity and disability in the adult population from circulatory system diseases.
The trainings were held at Vinnytsia Oblast Clinical Oncology Center (VOCOC) with the participation of scientists of the Department of Internal Disease Propaedeutics of the Medical University and specialists of Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Center for Cardiovascular Diseases.
Every such lesson consisted of a theoretical part, analysis of specific complex clinical cases and visit to the X-ray Surgical Unit of Vinnytsia Cardiac Center.

The organizers emphasized on the high activity of the training participants, their willingness to live discussions.

Yurii Mostovyi (Head of the University's Department of Internal Disease Propaedeutics of the Medical University): "It is important for us that general practitioners have learned: routine coronary angiography is necessary for most patients with angina pectoris. Therefore, send their patients followed-up by the cardiologist to this procedure".

Volodymyr Gladkykh (Chief Physician of Vinnytsia Center): "An ideal option is when knowledge is given in tandem by scientists and practitioners. It was important for us to convey to the colleagues from districts information on the availability of quotas from the World Bank. Patients followed up by the cardiologist have the opportunity to undergo a free routine coronary angiography and stenting with a single stent. Urgent medical aid is always free of charge."

Nadiia Marusiak (Deputy Director of the Health Care Department of Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration): "In fact, every third visit of citizens to physicians is associated with cardiovascular diseases. We now strive to change this negative trend."
