A ready-made project proposal "Oncology prevention and effective anti-cancer technologies implementation in the Lviv oblast in terms of health care reform in Ukraine"

The experts from the Lviv State Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre submitted to Rostyslav Stupnytskyi, Director of the Health care Department of LOSA, for approval a project proposal "Oncology prevention and effective anti-cancer technologies implementation in the Lviv oblast in terms of health care reform in Ukraine" which will be implemented by the World Bank investment loan.
The project proposal suggests analysis of the incidences of cancer pathology in the Lviv oblast, the results of cytology screening, with highlighted effective methods of cancer treatment, summarized foundations of oncology prevention, and assessed indicators of the project.
Upon reconciliation of project proposals in the Health care Department of Lviv oblast state administration, they will be submitted for approval by the Head of Lviv Oblast State Administration.
We recall that in August, the Lviv oblast hosted a working visit of a team of the World Bank's experts. The main purpose of the visit was the introduction of further steps in the implementation of a joint project of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health care of Ukraine to reform the health care industry in the Lviv oblast.
According to the World Bank's experts, the informational and structural resources of oncology services in the Lviv oblast are the most favourable for the introduction of new concepts of preventive medicine and enhancement of operational efficiency.
