HOW INNOVATION MODEL IS INTRODUCED IN PRACTICE
During a briefing in Gozhul, media representatives learned about the benefits to the Poltava residents of the equipment purchased at the expense of the pilot World Bank Sub-project "Implementation of an innovative model for the provision of medical services to patients with hypertension in the Poltava region".
Ivan Shumeyko, Chief Specialist of the Department of Health of the Poltava Regional State Administration on Family Medicine, said: "We are now in the primary care facility where a family doctor works. This important health system figure is probably the most difficult to work on prevention. Why? Because people often think that prevention is just a vaccination, hygiene. In fact, the family doctor should come, first of all, not with a disease, not with high blood pressure, and on the advice - how to avoid or eliminate the risk factors for the disease. But the doctor can convince his patient to eliminate the risk factors for the disease is very difficult.
Thanks to the implementation of the Sub-project, we received simple, elementary but important things that are needed to determine the extent to which the patient is at risk of getting severe cardiovascular accidents: a heart attack, a stroke, sudden death. "
Ivan Fedorovich explained that from now on the equipment and equipment purchased by the Sub-project funds it is possible to carry out a free mass biochemical spectrum of research (including lipid metabolism parameters - total cholesterol, lipid fractions), deployed blood tests (coagulograms, hemograms with leukocyte formula) and urine. Primary health care centers have developed transport routines and biomaterial fills for research.
Stopped I. Shumeiko and the factors of the risk of diabetes mellitus Type II. Thanks to the Sub-project, all patients will be able to receive diagnostic care that will detect early-stage diabetes mellitus. It is not only the determination of the level of sugar in urine and blood, in particular by means of glucometers, but also due to the definition of glucose hemoglobin during biochemical studies.
In each such outpatient clinic, as Gozhulskaya, there is an opportunity to carry out, if necessary, electrocardiography with the transfer of data to diagnostic cents with the further consultation of narrow-profile specialists. To date, they have achieved such a result when the acute coronary syndrome (pre-anesthetic state) was diagnosed in this clinic and in 25 minutes he had already been given a stent, which saved the life of this patient.
Also introduced is the technology of daily blood pressure monitoring. The ambulatory workers have demonstrated such a state-of-the-art equipment, the application of which allows for the first time to detect high blood pressure, not recorded in the standard measurement procedure with a conventional tonometer. This simple, but effective device can be used by the patient during the day without any interference. They are modern and very comfortable, they can be delivered to the patient by a nurse.
