Environmental and Social Framework Strategy

The consultants of World Bank of the team sity of Dnipro Subproject Management Department participated in a workshop devoted to the Environmental and Social Framework Strategy. This is a new strategy, which, after lengthy consultations, was adopted by the World Bank in August 2016. Its use was also discussed at separate informational sessions that were held by the World Bank representatives for all stakeholders: development partners, ministry staff, civil society organizations, etc. The main objective of the new Strategy is to replace the existing World Bank Safeguard Measures Policy for new investment projects for 7 years. During this period, the new Strategy will be applied in parallel with the above Policy for projects approved before the date of its entry into force.
