Meeting with head doctors of Zaporozhye primary health care centers

During the meeting the implementation of the sub-project in the region was discussed. Consultant Vladislav Odrynskyy reported on the results for 2016, the current state of implementation of the sub-project and introduced the audience to the Procurement Plan for 2017. The main activities of the project in the region are resupply of facilities and provision of primary care centres with medical equipment and furniture, and computers for  work places of physicians in 3 primary pilot centers, the introduction of electronic medical record keeping and creating a system of communication with the public regarding the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. One of the important achievements of the project is to change the approach to procurement - medical equipment proposed must address important issues in health care and access to treatment standards and clinical protocols and used in the EU. During the event, participants discussed current aspects of health reform and changes in funding is primary health care. Currently, medical and community leaders PHC centers are preparing to increase the autonomy of health facilities, creation of hospital districts and implementation of reimbursement of medicines. Also important step reform is the adaptation of international treatment protocols for primary care development guaranteed list of services and keeping electronic records of patients.
