"The Flower Gardens of Radiology" (ECR2017) for Ukrainian radiologists

The doctors from the Lviv oblast once again had an opportunity to learn from the best practices in the field of health care. As part of the training component in the framework of the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies in Lviv oblast" Subproject, 6 doctors (Yuriy Mylyan, Vitalii Gutsul, Maryna Trofimova, Olena Hural, Solomiia Seniv, and Viktor Zhelov) attended the "Flower Gardens of Radiology" European Congress of Radiology held in Vienna (Austria) between 1 and 5th of March, 2017.
 
The European Congress of Radiology (ECR) is the largest annual scientific conference in Europe, which brings together experts in the field of radiology. Each year the conference is attended by more than 20,000 radiologists from the worldwide. Leading clinics and equipment manufacturers present innovative methods and tools for radiology. The panel reports covered all nosologies and all possible methods of diagnostics at each of them. The speakers discussed controversial statements in radiology and presented innovative diagnostic methods using sophisticated devices.
 
It was pleasant that the Lviv team not only participated in the congress as listeners, but that a member of the European Society of Radiology, a radiologist at the Lviv oblast-level phtysio pulmonology treatment and diagnositcs centre, Ms. Olena Hural, the co-author representing a group of doctors (Yu. Mylyan who is a member of the Society, M. Fetsych, R. Yarema) presented a panel report in electronic online system (EPOS) on the topic of "The efficiency of CT at pre-operative evaluation stage of PCI in patients with recurrent ovarian cancer".
 
The members of the Congress also participated in interactive training sessions on radiological diagnostics based on case studies: visualization of the chest, brain tumors, chronic liver disease etc.
 
The European Congress of Radiology is an event in the field of radiology which is always one step ahead of global trends in this sphere of medicine.
