Health care School in the village of Staryava (Staryi Sambir district)

We hope that the residents received qualitative and useful information on prevention, healthy lifestyle, and practical advice on how to improve one's own psychological state.
During the meeting held in the Health care School entitled "Should one fear cancer? Fight, one shall not give up", the audience did not stay indifferent; the attendees asked relevant questions. In particular, the actual topic that was particularly interesting for the women, was vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV).
Taras Rohovyi, a surgical oncologist from the thoracic department of Lviv Oblast-level Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre, spoke about the causes of diseases and their prevention. Ms. Katheryna Hlazunova, a practicing psychologist, cited the barriers for a patient towards a doctor and the importance of establishing trustworthy doctor-patient relationship, as well as spoke about 5 stages of psychological reaction.
