In the framework of the joint World Bank's and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "Serving People, Improving Health" Project, specifically within the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies" Subproject, the Health care Department of LOSA has determined the winning bidder under the procurement package No. ICB 4.1.8 "Equipment for invasive methods of examination and treatment in the Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre", Lot No.1.
Electrosurgical blocks will be purchased for the Lviv State Oblast-level Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre under this bidding procedure.

The joint World Bank's and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "Serving People, Improving Health" Project is oriented towards supporting the health care system reform and is aimed at achieving three main objectives: combating non-communicable diseases, with an emphasis on prevention; improving the quality and effectiveness of health care; optimization and restructuring hospitals and outpatient services at the secondary level.
The project is being implemented in 2015-2020 in 8 oblasts of Ukraine: Volyn, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Transcarpathia, Poltava, Rivne, and Lviv oblasts.
In the Lviv oblast, the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies" is focused on improving health of the female population in the Lviv oblast in the area of combating malignant neoplasms.
The procurement procuredures held in the framework of the subproject are carried out according to the rules of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the loan No. 8475-UA allocated towards the "Serving People, Improving Health" Project implemented by the Government of Ukraine and IBRD.
