Electronic registry of the female population will be developed in the Lviv oblast, specifically a database enabling to track the female population, in accordance with their age, who fall into the risk group of cervical and breast cancer, and as of critical priority to invite them for examination at the diagnostics centre. This was announced today at a press conference.
According to the project coordinators, there are two issues faced in the Lviv oblast: the lack of qualitative statistics due to unavailability of the name-related registry of the female population who undergo an examination and unavailability of tracking the female population who never come to pass an examination.
"Two weeks ago we announced the procurement procedure called the Electronic Registry of the female population in Lviv oblast. First of all, this includes the purchase of the software. This registry will enable to identify a risk group of women should pass an examination more often, and vice versa. This will be the first step towards the electronic medical record of apatient ", - said Ms. Khrystyna Pak, the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies" Subproject Management Coordinator.
Deputy Head physician of the medical unit in the State Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre for the Lviv Oblast, Mr. Orest Tril, stated that women should not be afraid to provide their data for the registry, as it is highly protected and will only serve to the best of their benefit.
"We must convey very simple things: the need to get onself examinated; the neecd to visit your gynecologist and not to be afraid to provide him with your personal data. While developing this registry, we have devoted quite a lot of time to protect the personal datain order to avoid any leakage of information. This is an area of a more personalized medicine when an examination map and a man of prognosis is going to be developed individually for each woman. We have done a very important work, however we will not achieve anything without women's trust," - said Orest Tril.
