The First Group of Family Physicians Received Certificates from the World Bank

A two-day training for family physicians ended in Rivne region. On the results of the training, 21 district doctors received certificates from the World Bank, Ukrainian Ministry of Health and Rivne RSA. 

Six medical instructors (general practitioners, cardiologists, neurologists and anesthesiologists) trained the attendees hot to treat patients with arterial hypertension and coronary artery disease properly. According to the statistics, acute coronary syndrome is the most frequent pathology causing death. The share of deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases in Rivne region is 82%.

The doctors took tests to evaluate their knowledge, they were solving problems while working in groups and analyzed them in detail. In the end, they had a workshop with manikins. The anesthesiology specialists carefully monitored this process and, if necessary, were giving immediate recommendations and correcting the course of the attendees’ actions.

It was the first of the 24 two-day trainings for family physicians within the first Phase. 

10 trainings are planned by the end of this year, and 14 more by June next year.
