Meeting with the doctors of the Mostyska district

 

Within the "Cervical and breast pathology prevention Days" campaign aimed at drawing women's attention to gynecological examinations, breast examination, and mammography examination, visits of doctors and the Subproject consultants were held to Mostyska district on November 24, 2016.

 

Medical workers of the district hospital, phycisians at outpatient units, and at medical and obstetric centres were presented with a number of reports, including:

 

- Breast and cervical cancer screening as a means of oncologic prevention - I. Kuriy

 

- Cervical cancer screening - Natalia Savran

 

- Breast cancer - O. Fedorko

 

The Subproject Management Consultant of the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies in Lviv oblast" Subproject, Ms. Khrystyna Pak, described the activities of the joint World Bank's and the Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine "Serving People, Improving Health" Project, specifically within the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies in Lviv oblast" Subproject.

 

During the visit, the medical staff received informational materials to distribute information among patients, and were invited to participate in the motivational flash mob campaign. Patients who have already underwent examination by either a gynecologist or mammologist, will be offered to take pictures with a motivational poster "I have already underwent examination! How about you?", so that to draw attention of colleagues, friends, acquaintances, and strangers to the importance and the need for timely examination, using one's own example!
