Workshop in the Staryi Sambir district

 

 

Within the "Cervical and breast pathology prevention Days" campaign, another visit was held in the Staryi Sambir district on November 28, 2016, with involvement of the doctors from the Lviv Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Center, specifically V. Myronovych, V. Semeniuk, and O. Fedorko.

 

The attendees were presented with the following reports:

 

- Innovative approaches to breast and cervical cancer screening within the joint World Bank's Project - V. Myronovych

 

- Cervical cancer screening - V. Semeniuk

 

- Breast cancer - O. Fedorko

 

The meeting was also attended by the coordinator of the multi-district screening centre in the city of Sambir, specifically within the Sambir-Staryi Sambir-Turka districts, Ms. Oksana Nastioshyn, who told her colleagues about the opportunities and the activities of the screening centre. Oksana Ivanivna sincerely cares for the successful implementation of screening in the Lviv oblast and, by her own example, encourages to tell and to encourage women to dedicate one day a year to their own health.

 

The Subproject Management Consultant of the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies in Lviv oblast", Ms. Khrystyna Pak, presented concessions with respect to the implementation of the joint World Bank's and the Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine "Serving People, Improving Health" Project, specifically within the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies in Lviv oblast" Subproject.

 

The attendees also received informational materials and were invited to participate in the "I have already underwent examination! What about you?" flash mob.
