Conference "Medical Information Systems"

A panel monothematic conference "Medical information systems" was held in the Lviv Municipal children's hospital at 4 P. Orlyk St., in the framework of the second Congress "Medical and Biological Informatics and Cybernetics".  Broadcasting of the conference also took place in real time on the Internet.

 

Tril Orest Volodymyrovych, Deputy Head physician of the medical unit in the State Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre and the consultants of the subproject "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies" took part in the conference in the framework of the preparation of the IT component "Electronic Registry of the female population in the Lviv oblast".

 

The pressing issues related to health care industry informatization were addressed at the conference. The developers of information and analytical systems and the representatives of health care institutions where the modern information systems are implemented, presented the advantages and disadvantages of the programs in action. The representatives of "St. Paraskeva" and "Intersono", of primary health care facilities in Vinnytsya, as well as of the communal facility "Lviv oblast-level centre for reproductive health care of the population" shared their positive experience and tools for decision-making. What is important about this format of the conference is the experience of using information and analytical systems in practice of the institutions. Thus, the conference addressed the issue of the implementation of information systems both at the level of primary health care in the hospitals and the problems of integration with the facilities from different oblasts in Ukraine.

 

The issue of protection of personal data, as well as the practice of mobile technologies in information systems is relevant for implementing the IT component in the framework of the World Bank's Project "Serving People, Improving health", specifically the subproject "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies". The received information will be useful for implementing quality software "Electronic Registry of the female population in Lviv oblast."
