Ultrasound devices have been delivered to the multi-district screening centers in Chervonohrad, Drohobych, Sambir, and Stryi (analysis will be conducted starting from July 2018), the polyclinic at Yefremov St. and the Cancer Treatment Facility, Lviv Oblast-level clinical and diagnostics center, Western Ukrainian specialized medical children's center, Lviv Oblast-level clinical hospital, Lviv Oblast-level children's clinical hospital "Okhmatdyt", Zolochiv central district hospital, Radekhiv central district hospital, Skole central district hospital, Pustomyty central district hospital, and Novoyavorivsk hospital.
1. According to the reports received from the Electronic Registry, 6 685 patients were examined in the first half of 2018 with the use of the delivered ultrasound devices.
The largest number of patients were examined in the Chervonohrad screening center, i.e. 13 per day, while those exmained in Sambir and Drohobych, and in the diagnostics center account for 11 per day. The worst situation is observed in the Cancer Treatment Facility, where data are entered into the electronic registry only based on the performance of one out of the 3 devices; and in the total there are only 6 patients per day undergoing examination with the use of one out of the 3 devices.
In one third of the cases (27% or 1 830 patients) ultrasound examination of the breast has been carried out, while 55% account for the examination of the internal organs, cavity, small pelvis; 10% account for the examination of thyroid, and 8% account for the ultrasound examination of pregnant women.
Most of the breast glands were examined by Dr. Kardash in the polyclinic at Yefremov St., with an average of 5 of such examinations per day; Dr. Hrondzal in Chervonohrad (an average of 4 examinations per day); Dr. Onyskiv and Dr. Urban in Sambir (an average of 6 examinations per day); Dr. Detsyk at the Cancer Treatment Facility (an average of 3 examinations per day); Dr. Kucheryavy and Dr. Kucheryava in Drohobych (an average of 2 examinations per day).
Data on the outcomes of pregnant women's examinations that are carried out in the Brody antenatal clinic and in Sambir antenatal clinic, i.e. 309 and 251, respectively, are entered into the electronic registry.
In June, 218 patients were screened in the Lviv Oblast-level clinical diagnostics center with the use of the delivered device.
Mammography devices have been delivered to the multi-district screening centers in Chervonohrad, Drohobych, Sambir, and Stryi, to the polyclinic at Yefremov St. and to the Cancer Treatment Facility, and to the Lviv Oblast-level clinical and diagnostics center.
2. In the first half of 2017, 14 524 patients underwent mammography examination, which is about 119 persons per day.
On average, the greatest number of examinations throughout the day are conducted in the multi-district screening center in the city of Stryi and in the municipal screening center on the basis of the Municipal clinical polyclinic No. 5, i.e. 15 persons per day.
In terms of the doctors, the largest number of patients were examined by Dr. Maryana Bychko, i.e. 15 patients per day, by Dr. Iryna Prykhniuk (Cancer Treatment Facility), and by Dr. Nataliya Rudyk (in the polyclinic at Yefremov St.), i.e. 12 patients per day.
The least work was performed with the use of the mammography device in Sambir, where on average only 8 women were undergoing examination throughout the day.
The Pacs server installed at the Stryisky screening center contains results of 1 797 examinations, while only 1 886 have been described; the pacs server installed in the Sambir center contains results of 861 examinations, while 919 have been categorized. These figures require a detailed study by X-ray specialists, to understand which patients are described and where their examinations are.
A large part of the uncategorized examinations in the electronic registry account for the doctors from the Cancer Treatment Facility (2 563 examinations), and from Chervonohrad - 695 examinations. It is necessary to add these women who were examined, but about who no information has been entered into the electronic system.
Among the results of mammography examinations under the BIRADS system, the the suspect of cancer was detected in approximately 5% of women (717 persons).
For this half of the year, 47 persons were categorized with "BIRADS 0"; it requires careful attention, because all these women need urgent additional examination. The largest number of such patients are at Municipal clinical polyclinic No. 5.
