Contract award under the procurement # ICB 4.1.2 in the Lviv oblast

The Health care Department of Lviv Oblast State Administration announces the award of contracts under ICB # 4.1.2 "Equipment for radiological diagnostic methods in the Сancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre and multi-regional screening centres".
Within the joint "Serving People, Improving Health" Project of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health care of Ukraine, specifically within the "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies", the Health care Department of LOSA purchases ultrasound devices, CT (computed tomography) scanner, and a SPECT/CT system, as well as an MRI scanner for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The joint "Serving People, Improving Health" Project of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health care of Ukraine is focused on supporting health care reform and aims at achieving three main objectives, specifically: combatting non-communicable diseases, with an emphasis on prevention; improving the quality and efficiency of medical care; optimizing and restructuring the hospitals and outpatient services at the secondary level.
The project is implemented in the period between 2015 and 2020 in 8 oblasts of Ukraine, namely: Volyn, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Zakarpattya, Poltava, Rivne, and Lviv oblast.
The "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumor technologies" Subproject is implemented in the Lviv oblast, which is aimed at improving the health care of the female population of the Lviv oblast in combatting malignant tumors.
The procurements held under the Subproject are carried out in accordance with the rules of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, through the loan allocated for the implementation of the "Serving People, Improving Health" Project of the Government of Ukraine and IBRD № 8475-UA.
