Announcement of the annual campaign "Days of cervical pathology and mammary gland pathology prevention among women" in the Lviv oblast.

 

 

 

Annually, the campaign "Days of cervical pathology and mammary gland pathology prevention among women" takes place in October in the Lviv oblast. During the campaign, it is possibl to undergo a free examination and receive advice at any medical facility of the city or of the oblast.

 

This year, from 5th to 19th of October, the event will be held with the participation of the World Bank's "Serving People, Improving Health" Project, and specifically the subproject "Preventive oncology and the implementation of effective anti-tumour technologies in Lviv oblast".

 

As part of the "Days of cervical pathology and mammary gland pathology prevention among women"  a series of activities will be held. Traditionally,  this event includes seminars, press conferences and appearances in the media of professionals in the field of the prevention and treatment of cervical and breast cancer, preparation of information materials for the population. Visits of gynaecologic oncologists for conducting inspections in relation to the staff and patients in the health care facilities of the Lviv oblast have been planned, as well as ensuring the smooth daily operation of such facilities as: cytology laboratories, Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre, and outpatient department in Lviv, clinical examination and treatment of the identified cancer patients, in accordance with the protocols upon Orders of the Ministry of Health care of Ukraine.

 

A Plan of activities in the framework of the "Days of cervical pathology and mammary gland pathology prevention among women" in the Lviv oblast has been approved by the Order of the Health care Department of LOSA № 719 as of 09.22.2015.
