Participation in the first mission of the World Bank to support the project "Serving people, improving health"

Recently, Bogdan Chechotka, the Head of the Health care Department of Lviv Oblast State Administration and Orest Tril, Deputy Head physician of the medical unit in the State Cancer Treatment and Diagnostics Centre for the Lviv oblast went to the World Bank's office in Kiev on a business trip, where a Mission of the World Bank to support implementation of the investment project "Serving People, Improving Health" took place. The mission was held at the highest level, with attendace of Paolo Belli, Program Leader of the World Bank for the Ukraine Country Unit.

 

Bogdan Chechotka, the head of the Health care Department presented the implementation plan for the subproject "Oncology prevention and anti-tumour technologies implementation in the Lviv oblast".  

 

During the reviewing and presentation of the subprojects at the World Bank's Mission, the questions of coordination of the subproject in terms of sectoral reform as a whole at the national level and at the regional level were raised. As Bogdan Chechotka stated, there is an established and functioning a working group in the Lviv oblast for reforming the health care industry, which coordinates the work of the SMU in the fields of primary, secondary, and tertiary medical care. Also during the meeting, the stages of the project implementation, the methods of attraction and selection of the consultants, as well as co-funding from various levels of local budgets for effective implementation of the subproject in the Lviv oblast were also discussed.
