A workshop organized by the World Bank for the representatives from the oblasts

According to the health care department of Lviv Oblast State Administration (OSA), the amount of financial support (investment) for the Lviv oblast in the framework of cooperation with the World Bank will amount to 4 million U.S.D.

 

Based on the estimates obtained by the regional projects for upgrading the health care industry in cooperation with the World Bank, according to the results of review by the Technical committee (composed of the representatives of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health care of Ukraine), there are 11 oblasts identified for the preparation and implementation of the regional projects. The Lviv oblast is in the list of the selceted oblasts, along with Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Lugansk, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Rivne, Zakarpattya, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhy oblasts and Crimea.

 

It is noteworthy that recently the World Bank held a workshop for the representatives from the 11 oblasts. The purpose of the workshop was to assist the oblasts in finalizing their projects through implementation of a number of measures and introduction of the amendments, revision of the joint contribution to achieving the expected outcomes and identifying further institutional mechanisms for the project implementation, as well as the strategy for monitoring achievement of the desired results.

 

A group of the World Bank's experts is expected to shortly visit the Lviv oblast in order to undertake further preparation and implementation of the joint project of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health care to reform the regional health care systems.
