Universal ultrasound system, defibrillator and artificial pulmonary ventilator — high-end modern equipment to save patients with cardiovascular disease - will significantly increase the capabilities of Vinnytsia Cardiac Center, as well as primary and secondary medical care facilities. Under the investment Sub-project Oblast level services improvement in Vinnytsia oblast, aimed at improving the quality of medical care and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, the international competitive bidding was announced in order to receive bids from equipment suppliers and evaluate them according to the WB procedures.
Consequently, on 15 September, in the Press Center of the Health Care Department of Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration, the bids were opened under the ICB (international competitive bidding) procedure for the supply of medical equipment for the existing Cardiac Center, as well as primary and secondary medical care facilities.
6 companies submitted their sealed proposals for consideration by the Consultants, Goods, Works and Non-consulting Services Selection Committee. In particular, Diatech SA (Switzerland), Diameb LLC (Ukraine), Joint Venture IMESC LLC and UTAS Co. Ltd (Ukraine), Mortara Instrument, Inc (USA), Protect Solutions Ukraine LLC (Ukraine), Mbnet AG (Switzerland). The procedure of bids opening was held in accordance with the World Bank requirements.
Olena Zhytanska, Deputy Director of the Health Care Department of Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration, Deputy Head of the Subproject Management Unit said,‘We rely on the results of this bidding. The bids will be evaluated for each lot and I hope that by the end of the year we will sign contracts for the supply of medical equipment.’
Volodymyr Fedyk, Chief Specialist of the Health Care Department of Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration, Deputy Head of the Subproject Management Unit said, ‘The ideology of the Subproject is to reduce mortality from cardiovascular diseases. In addition to effective information campaign and training of physicians, the key role is given to availability of high-quality health services for all people. Modern and high-end equipment will contribute to the achievement of high indicators in this direction; therefore, it is extremely important to select an experienced and competent supplier.’
