Training-seminar with heads of medical institutions in Zaporozhye region

On May 11 in Zaporizhzhia, there was held a training - seminar on the basis of KU “ Regional Medical Center of Cardiovascular Diseases” with the heads of health establishments and institutions, dedicated to the World Day of combat hypertension. The event was held at the initiative of the Regional Health Department and World Bank Project “The improvement of Health in Servicing People” on the eve of the annual Decade of prevention of hypertension in Zaporizhzhia region, that’ll take place on May 15-26, 2017.
The main speaker-trainer, Lesya Pumpinets, Chief freelance cardiologist of Health Department of Regional State Administration, opened the seminar with a welcoming word, paying much attention to the issues regarding the reimbursing in the frame of the ”Accessible Medicine” Project, the availability of drugs in pharmacies, filling out cards of the patients with hypertension, training patients to control the pressure independently and motivating them on adherence to healthy lifestyle.
The main freelance experts on specialties “Cardiology” and “General Family-practice Medicine” of Health Department of State Administration conducted the training on the use of educational materials during the educational work of prevention of hypertension. Printed materials for physicians and patients have been prepared under the joint project “Improvement of medical care to patients with diseases of circulatory system in Zaporizhzhia region in 2015-2017 years”.
IrinaDemidenko, Chieffreelancespecialistonspecialty“Generalpractice-familymedicine”of Health Department of Regional Health Administration, stressed the importance of conducting regular seminars on the basis of the training rooms of the HPC Centers with employees, promoting the motivation for health workers to promote active detection of hypertension and distribution the information on its prevention, drawing the nurses, medical assistants and pharmacy workers to promote health prevention knowledge and prevention arterial hypertension among the population.
Training workshop made it possible to obtain the necessity of practical knowledge, discuss issues, co-ordinate the plans of actions on conducting medical institutions in carrying out the Decade of prevention of hypertension, with the aim of improving the quality of medical aid to the population.
