On June 29, 2017, in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast, there a meeting of the board of Healthcare Department of ZODA was held, in which Deputy O. Ponamar`ov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council G.Samardak, Deputy-chairman ZODA E. Huhnin, Director of the Healthcare Department V. Klimenko, City Mayor of Berdyansk city V. Chepurny, deputies of City Council, heads of regional health departments, the main free-lance specialists DOSES ZODA, managers of health facilities of Zaporizhzhia region, representatives of media took part.
The Board considered the issue of the functioning of the health system in terms of decentralization, the optimization of the network of medical institutions of primary and secondary levels through the formation of the hospital districts with multidisciplinary hospital intensive treatment, effective patients’ routing and scheduling, and establishing quality management systems of medical care.
Principal free-lance cardiologist of DOSES ZODA L. Pumpynets briefed the audience on an analysis of providing cardiac care to the population of Zaporizhzhia oblast, noted the need to create a single registry of patients, strengthening of preventive direction of primary medical institutions and creating the best route to the patient, as well as she gave recommendations to improve the work on timely early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and cerebrovascular pathology, clinical examination of the quality of primary care doctors, improvement of sanitary-educational work among the population and creating a system of continuous professional development of medical personnel.
Director of DOSES ZODA V. Klimenko reported on the status of health care to the population of Zaporizhzhia oblast, described the state of implementation of subproject “Improving medical care for the patients with diseases of the circulatory system in Zaporizhzhia oblast in 2015-2017 years” as a joint Project to the World Bank with MOH of Ukraine “Improving health in servicing people” Project, told about the plans and deadlines, pending and results of the implementation of the project.
V. Klimenko thanked the audience for their conscientious work, expected the heads of health institutions to improve performance, to boost efficiency of resource use sector and the level of public satisfaction with medical service.
