e-Health presented at interdepartmental advisory session

The plans of pilot regions where the information systems will be created according to the eHealth implementation plans, as well as information about its central component, were presented to the participants of the advisory session held in the MoH of Ukraine on January 20, 2016.
The session presided by the Deputy Minister Ihor Perehinets was focused on the issues of eHealth implementation in Ukraine.
The Consultant on Coordination of eHealth Cluster Implementation of the joint “Serving People, Improving Health” Project of the MoH and the World Bank Vitalia Muzyka presented the tasks to be fulfilled within the framework of the cluster.
Moreover, she provided a detailed overview of the eHealth standards development plans for 2016. According to her, the development of the standards should create the foundation of the universal information space for eHealth in the country. The competition was already announced for the selection of an international expert company to work on the adaptation of international standards within the project. The national experts will also be engaged in the project in the nearest future.
During the presentation the plans were announced on establishing the DPC (Data Processing Center) to host the centralized information systems. These works must be completed by the end of 2017.
The session brought together the representatives of the WHO, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukrainian Center for Socially Dangerous Diseases Control of the MoH of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH, specialists of the joint “Serving People, Improving Health” with the World Bank and the eHealth Project.
The session participants had a look at the “e-Zdorovya” software introduced in the healthcare facilities of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Among other things, the representatives of the abovementioned Ministry proposed to prepare a joint order of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense to implement the “e-Zdorovya” system in the healthcare facilities subordinate to the Ministry of Defense in order to record information about treatment of military personnel in these facilities
